Holiday: 24 November - 1 December 2001
On this site you will find photographs and a report of my holiday in Cyprus. I travelled
to Cyprus in November 2001 with the Dutch travel organisation SNP.
Cyprus is an island in the far eastern Mediterranean Sea, below Turkey and to the west of Syria.
The country is divided into a Greek an Turkish part. I visited the Greek part of the island.
Most of the days was spent walking. The distances ranged from 9 to 19 kilometres a day. The weather
was good for most of the week, only in the Troodos mountains it was cold, wet and misty.
On the third day it even snowed a little. But the next day we could walk in a t-shirt and shorts.
So we had no reason to complain.
